Our response to Coronavirus

  1. ANYONE who is showing symptoms of Covid-19 or believes that they are likely to have been exposed to Covid-19, MUST NOT come to the club;

  2. The clubhouse and committee room will remain closed until 4th July at the earliest;

  3. Members and visitors will be permitted access to the toilets; however, this must be on a one-in one-out basis.  The doors to the toilets will be unlocked, but remain closed and we ask that this not be offered to members of the public;

  4. Players MUST have a pre-booked tee-time.  Failure to make such a booking is highly likely to result in being turned away;

  5. Members must have paid their membership before commencing their round. Details of how to pay for membership can be found in previous email communications or by calling 01242 672025;

  6. Members will be given priority booking of up to two weeks in advance.  Until Tuesday the 19th May, all tee times prior to 12pm will be reserved for members until 2 days before, when they will be released for sale to green fees.  From Wednesday, 20th May, all tee times will be allocated on a first come, first served basis (subject to review);

  7. All pre-booked “protected” times have been cancelled.  All members must ensure that they book any desired round and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis;

  8. All bookings should be made online through the BRS system or by calling the pro shop;

  9. Tee time intervals will be extended to 10-minute intervals; however, due to a software issue within BRS, this will not be possible until the 18th of May.  In the meantime, it is even more important that players observe appropriate social distancing;

  10. Tee-times will be restricted to 2 balls.  This can be made up of 2 people from different households;

  11. All vehicles must enter from the entrance of the car park and exit through the correct exit, ensuring that the car park is one-way only;

  12. Players should arrive 10 minutes before their tee-time and get ready in the car park;

  13. The locker room will be closed from the 18th May. Members will be given access to the locker room until this date to allow for the removal of personal belongings which they should move to their vehicles;

  14. All practice facilities are to be closed until further notice; this includes the putting green;

  15. Players should approach the 1st tee no more than 5 minutes before their booked time;

  16. Players must ensure that they are on the tee and ready to commence their round at their allotted time.  Late arrivals may be turned away;

  17. Scorecards should not be exchanged and where possible, players should use electronic scorecards such as the free Swing by Swing app;

  18. Only 1 player is permitted to be on the tee box at any one time;

  19. Players are reminded to observe social distancing when on the greens;

  20. All flags should be left in place and never removed;

  21. No rakes will be available on the course. Green-keepers will rake bunkers on a daily basis and players are asked to smooth over any marks with the back of their club as best as they can, whilst not slowing play too much;

  22. Buggies and trolleys will not be available for hire for the foreseeable;

  23. The use of ball washers on the course is prohibited;

  24. Do not collect stray balls;

  25. Cups will be left at either above or at surface level to avoid the need to touch the liner.  In the event that the ball comes into contact with the cup, it should be classed as holed;

  26. The hole is to be deemed as complete with the next stroke in the event that the ball is at rest within 12 inches of the cup;

  27. Players are reminded that the usual custom of handshaking following a round must be ceased and social distancing measures observed at all times;

  28. All players MUST leave the area as soon as their round is complete.

Enjoy your round.
