Cleeve Hill Community Series 2024

Born from a desire to break the mould and re-imagine the ‘open competition’, we’re excited to announce the Cleeve Community Series.

There’s more to golf than just the golf and we want to highlight this by creating a way to play the game that’s a little different to the generation before us. We’re getting rid of all those competition norms and moving away from the idea that its all about scoring and leaderboards. With events far from typical, The Cleeve Community Series aims to bring together a community of like-minded golfers and provide them with an opportunity to enjoy a day on the Hill with family and friends (old and new).

 

TBC: No Leaderboard. On-course frenzy
15-17 JUNE 2024: Cleeve Festival of Golf. 3-days of mixed events on the Hill
27 JULY 2024: Retro Golf Day. No equipment restrictions

NO LEADERBOARD ON-COURSE FRENZY

We’re tired of all the sour post-event emails that call other competitors cheats. What do we do? Create an event with no official leaderboard, just a frenzy of on-course prizes. On almost every hole, there’ll be nearest the pins, longest drives, and plenty more up for grabs. We want you to focus on enjoying a day on the Hill with family and friends, rather than scoring and leaderboard prizes.

 

Formalities

Non-qualifying event (no scores posted to WHS)

Entry Fee: £15 per Member, £30 per Visitor

Open to Men and Ladies. Men play from White Tees, Ladies play from Red Tees

Once you have completed the registration process, you will be able to select a tee time of your choice. All competition information is communicated via email, please enter all player email addresses if possible.

CLEEVE FESTIVAL OF GOLF

15-17 JUNE 2024

3 days of mixed events, including an individual stableford, 4-person scramble and pairs betterball. Enter one, two or all three days, with special prizes or giveaways for those that enter all three days. All Festival events are designed to be fun and inclusive, with some exciting plans both on and off the course.

RETRO GOLF DAY

SATURDAY 27 JULY 2024

We love all things retro here at Cleeve, from the golf equipment in our Shop to our Series 3 Land Rover, ‘Eric’. There’s nothing better than the nostalgia that comes with finding and gaming ‘classic’ equipment that stands the test of time. There are no restrictions in our retro day; hickory, persimmon, something from the metal era, a period of golf fashion – whatever makes you tick. We want to encourage playing for fun, and playing classic equipment is fun! We’ll also have some prizes for best dressed, best set etc.
